FITNESS 101

Join Director of Fitness, Angie Raizis, on this 4-week journey to help kickstart your fitness! This program is designed to introduce you to basic total body strength training, improve your balance, start to build cardiovascular strength and endurance, and assist you with starting a flexibility and mobility routine.

This week will focus on body weight strengthening exercises, modifications and progressions, and basics of usage of the fitness center strength equipment.

Week 1

Introduction to Strength Training

This week we will integrate week 1 basics and add the aspect of improving balance and core stabilization through control, alignment, postural movements and isometrics.

Week 2

Balance & Core Stabilization

This week will focus on plyometrics, cardiovascular endurance/strength, anaerobic and aerobic exercises, bursts and agility training.

Week 3

Cardiovascular Fitness

This week will focus on dynamic and static stretching to improve mobility, joint function and increase range of motion actively and passively.

Week 4

Flexibility & Mobility

October 19th-November 19th (No class 11/9 or 11/12)

November 23rd-December 17th

Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm

Saturdays 9:00-10:00am
